Soft Tissue Therapies

The body is designed to heal but chronic injuries, overuse conditions, and repetitive stress can interrupt that process

Advanced soft tissue therapies help to improve your recovery by:

• stimulating cellular repair
• increasing blood flow to injured tissue
• breaking up scar tissue and adhesions
• restoring normal neuromuscular signaling

When integrated with chiropractic care, these therapies can dramatically accelerate recovery compared to conventional care alone.

Advanced Soft Tissue Therapies

Functional Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique that uses tiny, monofilament needles (like those used in acupuncture) to target specific trigger points that arise in a muscle. The insertion of the needle helps to release knots in the soft tissue by stimulating the area of tension and allow it to relax. This stimulation helps to relieve pain and improve mobility and can act as a neurological reset for muscle activation.

At PRIME Sports Medicine, we utilize needles in all stages of recovery and performance care and even utilize them for perinatal care as well. Whether it is a single needle application for trigger point therapy or multi-needle use along with electrical stimulation, Dry Needling can aid in faster healing and getting you back to activity quicker.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Class 4 Laser provides a deep tissue treatment by using high‑power photobiomodulation to deliver red and near‑infrared photons deep into muscle, ligament, tendon and spinal tissues. The laser light helps to speed up tissue healing and recovery by boosting ATP production, enhancing circulation and decreasing inflammation to the applied treatment area.

The LightForce Class IV Laser allows for a pain free, non‑invasive, and drug‑free option to reduce back, neck and sciatica pain, improve range of motion, and support post‑surgical recovery.

Myofascial Release

Active Release Technique (ART)

ART is an advanced hands-on soft tissue manual therapy designed to diagnose and treat problems in muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Our skilled clinicians are full body certified in Active Release Technique. Successful ART treatments will help to alleviate pain, restore function, and help you recover faster.

Graston Technique

Graston technique is a version of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) that uses specialized, stainless steel instruments to detect and treat chronic or acute soft-tissue dysfunctions, scar tissue, and fascial restriction.

Cupping Therapy

This trusted approach to healing goes back over 2,000 years and was an ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern practice that has evolved to help you heal today. Cupping therapy consists of adhering small cups on the skin, and uses the pressure created by these cups to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation and ease pain by lifting and reducing adhesions of the fascia from the underlying muscle tissue.
